The Artist

Dixon was taught Chinese calligraphy by his mother before his first day of school. It was the start of his artistic journey for fine arts and learning from artists he admired throughout his formal educations. He entered his first painting competition hosted by the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara California in 2004 and won multiple awards which gave him instant recognition by the local art scene. He believes in continuous learning to deepen his sensibility and explore different genres. This website is a curation of his exploration into Abstraction. It represents the culmination of his living in Eastern and Western culture throughout his life.

Vision

In his Abstraction works, Dixon aims to draw from his life experience and transform his response, memories, and feeling into the design. He wants to convey his stories to the viewers. by using layers of contrasting colors, expressive gesture, shapes and lines.

Where

Dixon was born in Hong Kong. He studied in Western Ontario, Canada, and had worked and naturalized in the United States of America. He is based in Corrales, New Mexico.
